Caminho do Peabiru

Have been pondering some of the new finds in ancient history.  Such as the Caminho do Pebiru. This 3000 km road stretched from the Pacific ocean to the Atlantic via Cuzco. Who built it? No one knows for sure. It was said to have been built by the Sume, before the time of the Inca. The Inca called their empire Biru, which became the modern Peru. But this predates that. Most of it was made of stone which is scarce in the Amazon jungle. Six feet wide and 3000 km complete with stairs, and rest stops. The Portugese found it intact and used it to invade!

My guess as to who built it would go back to these folks. New evidence indicates the desert site at Caral, on the slopes of the Andes, was built between 2,600 BC and 2,000 BC. This  ancient city in what is now Peru was built at the same time as the great pyramids of Egypt, archaeologists have revealed..  They seem to have invented irrigation and  agriculture there also, built pyramids, were the first to use cotton, hallucinogens, cocaine , aphrodisiacs and invented weaving and netmaking.

The Weaponization of Food?

Hillary Clinton:Population Control Will Now Become The Centerpiece Of U.S. Foreign Policy

If you thought the XL beef recall was scary, consider what has been done with corn. The Epicyte gene has been created specifically to sterilize humans. This gene research has been well documented until the patents were bought by Monsanto 10 years ago, at which point it became a proprietary secret. Who paid for this research? Who authorized its creation and why?
What a coincidence that the US government is investing billions of dollars in an effort to reduce world population. However, as several of the articles at the links below investigate, it may  already be being done under the cover of GMO food, specifically those containing the Epicyte gene.  For instance, there is a great deal of alarm in third world countries about the introduction of GMOs, either accidentally as has been shown in Mexico, or forced by law, as is happening in India. In an article entitled ” Spermicidal Breakfast Cereal” translated from La Jornada, the author quotes an indigenous people’s leader as saying: “The potential of spermicidal corn as a biological weapon is outrageous, since it easily interbreeds with other varieties, is capable of going undetected and could lodge itself at the very core of indigenous and farming cultures. We have witnessed the execution of repeated sterilization campaigns performed against indigenous communities.”
Genetically modified soy also linked to sterility in tests, more at

Genocidal ‘cereal killer” released into environment?
Here’s a further look in to USDA funded GMO food programs:
Add  it all up and you get Hillary making these statements, as referenced here:
In this article, the author explores some of the nastier possiblities behind these initiatives:

“During remarks that she made for the 15th Anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the launch of a new program that according to Clinton will now become the centerpiece of U.S. foreign policy.  This new program is known as the Global Health Initiative, and it is being incredibly well-funded at a time when the U.S. government is drowning in debt.  According to Clinton, 63 billion dollars will be spent by the U.S. to prevent pregnancies and to improve “family planning” services around the globe over the next six years.  In other words, the new centerpiece of U.S. foreign policy is all about eugenics and population control.

The following is an excerpt from Clinton’s remarks….

In addition to new funding, we’ve launched a new program that will be the centerpiece of our foreign policy, the Global Health Initiative, which commits us to spending $63 billion over six years to improve global health by investing in efforts to reduce maternal and child mortality, prevent millions of unintended pregnancies, and avert millions of new HIV infections, among other goals. This initiative will employ a new approach to fighting disease and promoting health.

You see, whenever the global elite want to launch another new eugenics operation, they announce it as a great “humanitarian program” that will save millions of lives.  But their real goal is to control the population and prevent millions of lives from being born.

This was also reflected in Clinton’s remarks about the United Nations Population Fund.  The United Nations Population Fund has been promoting abortion, forced sterilization and radical population control measures around the globe for decades, and Hillary Clinton was super excited to talk about how the U.S. government recently renewed funding for that organization….

This year, the United States renewed funding of reproductive healthcare through the United Nations Population Fund, and more funding is on the way. (Applause.) The U.S. Congress recently appropriated more than $648 million in foreign assistance to family planning and reproductive health programs worldwide. That’s the largest allocation in more than a decade – since we last had a Democratic president, I might add. (Applause.)

So what exactly is so bad about the United Nations Population Fund?

Not only does the United Nations Population Fund support and fund the forced abortion and infanticide of China’s “one child” program, they also promote abortion, forced sterilization and brutal eugenics programs throughout the developing world.

To learn much more about the United Nations Population Fund, please watch the four short videos below.  They will leave you absolutely stunned….

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Part 4:

The truth is that the United Nations Population Fund always has been and always will be about eugenics.

And thanks to Barack Obama, it is being funded with millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars.

But that wasn’t enough for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, so they have launched this new Global Health Initiative which will now be the “centerpiece” of U.S. foreign policy.

63 billion U.S. taxpayer dollars will be spent over the next six years to promote abortion, sterilization and “family planning” around the globe.

Sadly enough, there are people who are actually convinced that they will save the environment by reducing the population.  They think that while promoting abortion and sterilization may not be the most pleasant thing to do, it must be done for the good of the planet.

Of course they are dead wrong, but the “true believers” do not understand this.  All they know is that they have to keep all of the brown and black women in other countries from having babies so that we can save the planet.

We live in a world that is becoming more evil all the time.  Every person on this planet has a fundamental right to have as many children as they want, but the truth is that this right is being stripped away from an increasing number of people.

We live at a time when even our most fundamental liberties as human beings are under attack.  Let us hope that America wakes up and starts saying “no” to these kinds of policies.”

Greatest sea ice extent ever measured at either pole!

Global warming hits new low, apparently. The ice cover at the south end of the planet has been gaining an area the size of 2400 Manhattans every day this week, with no signs of letting up apparently, and each day setting a new record!  This is helping to cause bizarre weather extremes all over the southern hemisphere.  All this with nary a word from the MSM, Maybe not mainstream enough!

The Arctic-Antarctic seesaw

by on Sep. 24, 2012, under Climate change

Shouldn’t global warming be global? Much has been made in the media about the “record” sea ice melt in the Arctic this summer. Typical is the headline in the Arizona Daily Star: “Arctic ice shrinks to all-time low; global warming cited as the cause.” There are two problems with that headline, which I will get to below. Meanwhile, it is little mentioned in the press that Antarctic continental ice is growing and sea ice has reached record or near record maximums extent. If global warming is the cause of “record” Arctic sea ice melt, why is the Antarctic sea ice reaching record or near record maximums? Should not global warming temper Antarctic sea ice formation? The graphs below show the Arctic and Antarctic sea ice extent as of September 20, 2012.

As for the headline “Arctic ice shrinks to all time low….”, it’s an all time low if you start counting in 1979, the modern satellite era. But, as I’ve shown in another post, Ice Follies and Hiding the Decline, a 1990 report from the IPCC records earlier  data which show that in 1974 Arctic sea ice melt was as great or greater than it is this year.

As for the headline “Global warming cited as cause” we see that when the Arctic reaches a minimum sea ice extent, the Antarctic reaches a maximum extent. There is a seesaw effect. That is shown most dramatically this year and in 2007 when the Arctic reached the previous “record” low, and the Antarctic sea ice reached a “record” maximum high extent.

Doug Hoffman discusses this seesaw effect at Resilient Earth. This oscillation seems to be related to natural, solar driven variations.

The basic difference between the Arctic and Antarctic is that the Arctic is mainly ocean surrounded by land, and the Antarctic is land surrounded by ocean. The Arctic is therefore more subject to solar-driven oscillations such as the Arctic Oscillation and Pacific Decadal Oscillation which are responsible for changes in ocean currents that can drive ice south toward warmer water or create warmer currents in the Arctic ocean. That, coupled with storms, have a significant effect on Arctic sea ice. As I reported in the post referenced below: the National Snow & Ice Data Center said of this year’s Arctic melt: “Sea ice extent dropped rapidly between August 4 and August 8. While this drop coincided with an intense storm over the central Arctic Ocean, it is unclear if the storm prompted the rapid ice loss.” NSIDC called the storm “The Great Arctic Cyclone of 2012″ and noted the storm caused “mechanical break up of the ice and increased melting by strong winds and wave action during the storm.” Nothing to do with global warming.

Meanwhile, both continental and sea ice are increasing in Antarctica. “Satellite radar altimetry measurements indicate that the East Antarctic ice sheet interior north of 81.6-S increased in mass by 45±7 billion metric tons per year from 1992 to 2003.” (Source) And a new paper says in part: “Antarctic Peninsula ice core records indicate significant accumulation increase since 1855…” (Source). According to NASA’s Earth Observatory, total Antarctic sea ice has increased by about 1% per decade since the start of the satellite record..

It seems that Arctic and Antarctic sea ice extent can be explained by natural cycles.  Those invoking “global warming” must explain why warming causes Antarctic ice to increase and Arctic ice to decrease.

As for the low sea ice in the Arctic this year, it has happened before:

Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers, …, all point to a radical change in climatic conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met with as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. -Washington Post, November 2, 1922.

And before:
“A considerable change of climate inexplicable at present to us must have taken place in the Circumpolar Regions, by which the severity of the cold that has for centuries past enclosed the seas in the high northern latitudes in an impenetrable barrier of ice has been, during the last two years, greatly abated.”

“2000 square leagues of ice with which the Greenland Seas between the latitudes of 74̊ and 80̊N have been hitherto covered, has in the last two years entirely disappeared.” -Royal Society, London. Nov. 20, 1817. Minutes of Council, Vol. 8. pp.149-153.

Perhaps Mark Twain was right when he said: “If you don’t read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed.”

UPDATE: NASA now admits that the storm caused most of the melt: “This year, a powerful cyclone formed off the coast of Alaska and moved on Aug. 5 to the center of the Arctic Ocean, where it churned the weakened ice cover for several days. The storm cut off a large section of sea ice north of the Chukchi Sea and pushed it south to warmer waters that made it melt entirely. It also broke vast extensions of ice into smaller pieces more likely to melt.” See statement and video animation here.

Great Comets of 2013?

As David Dickinson over at O points out, the news of the discovery of  Comet Ison has taken the intenet by storm. Will it hit the sun? Could be interesting as this thing is coming in at 50,000 miles an hour, is still a year out , and is expected to miss the sun by less than a solar diameter? Hopefully!Plus it will be visible, it is thought , in the northern hemisphere during the day.
Will we have a Christmas comet in 2013?
A close passage of Mars for Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) in the fall of 2013.
Published: September 25, 2012, 1:18 pm

A comet discovery on Sept. 24, 2012 has the astronomical community abuzz concerning its possible appearance in our skies at some point in late 2013.

The comet in question is designated C/2012 S1 (ISON). ISON stands for the International Scientific Optical Network located near Kislovodsk, Russia. Astronomers Artyom Novichonok and Vitali Nevski imaged the comet using a 0.4 meter reflecting telescope.

At magnitude +18 in the constellation Cancer, the comet is not currently much to look at. What makes this discovery especially interesting, though, is its relatively large discovery distance coupled with its interesting orbital geometry near perihelion – the point at which it will be closest to the Sun – in Nov. 2013.

Comet C/2012 C1 ISON is currently just over 6.6 astronomical units from Earth. In comparison, Hale-Bopp was 7.2 astronomical units away during its initial discovery. Jupiter and Saturn have semi-major axes of 5.2 & 9.5 A.U.s, respectively.

Comet Lovejoy as seen from the International Space Station in late 2011. NASA

So, how bright will Comet ISON get? Well, comets are notoriously fickle beasts. One only has to look back at Comet Kohoutek in 1973 to see a great comet that wasn’t. Still, other Sungrazers, such as Comet Ikeya-Seki in 1965 and Comet Lovejoy earlier this year, made the ranks of the Great Comets.

Much speculation hinges on if Comet ISON survives its perihelion passage on November 28th 2013. On this date, Comet ISON will pass within 0.012 A.U.s or just over a 1.8 million kilometres from the Sun. Keep in mind, that the Sun itself is about 1.4 million kilometres in diameter. The entire comet could simply melt away at those relatively short distances.

But there is precedent for such a scorching passage: Kreutz sungrazer Comet Lovejoy passed only 145,000 kilometres above the photosphere and survived to become a great daylight comet in early 2012.

NASA SDO – Lovejoy’s Journey around the Sun

Comet ISON has an almost parabolic orbit suggestive of an initial visitor to the inner solar system from the Oort Cloud. This also bodes well for an active and energetic nucleus. Researcher John Bortle also notes similarities between the path of Comet ISON and the Great Comet of 1680.

Interestingly, Comet ISON also passes less than 0.1 A.U. from Mars in late September 2013, making it a possible visual target for Mars Curiosity which is currently exploring its new home in Gale Crater. To our knowledge, an image of a comet from the surface of another world hasn’t been done before.

Looking East: Comet ISON on the morning of November 24th, 2014, about an hour before sunrise from mid-northern latitudes. Created by the author in Starry Night

Comet ISON should also reach naked eye brightness (greater than +6 magnitude) as seen from Earth, as it crosses into the constellation Leo in September 2013. It will stand about 47 degrees from the Sun in the morning sky on October 1st, and passes only 1 degree from Mars and 2 degrees from Regulus on October 16th.

Note that there’s also a hybrid solar eclipse (i.e. an eclipse that’s annular along part of the track and total along another portion) across the mid-Atlantic & Central Africa on November 3rd, 2013 with the comet is less than 50° degrees away.

Comet ISON is projected to reach negative magnitudes just days before perihelion of November 28, but will be extremely close to the Sun for observation. It will also pass within five degrees of Saturn and Mercury and just a degree from +4th magnitude Comet Encke (2P) placed low in the dawn on the morning of November 24th.

After a brief dip into the southern hemisphere, the real show may begin. Unlike Comet Lovejoy, Comet ISON will be well placed for northern hemisphere observers in mid to late December 2013.

If it survives perihelion, it may unfurl a magnificent dust tail in the dawn sky as it heads through the constellations Serpens Caput, Hercules, and Corona Borealis. A comet’s dust tail is swept back from solar wind pressure, and can actually extend in front of its path as it journeys back out of the solar system.

In fact, Comet ISON may still shine at a respectable magnitude +3 on Christmas Day 2013 and also just might become the great Christmas comet of 2013. Incidentally, comets are named after their discoverers and those discoveries are now made by automated surveys and satellites as opposed to lone dedicated amateur hunters. Hence names like “SOHO” and “LINEAR” that now grace many comets.

One of my favourites in the bizarre name category was Comet IRAS-Araki-Alcock that passed only 0.0312 A.U.s from the Earth (just under 12 times the Earth-Moon distance) in 1983.

And to head off the inevitable “Comet Elenin” hype that seems to follow any bright new comet discovery; Comet ISON isn’t a threat to the Earth. It will only pass about 0.4 A.U.s (just over 59 million kilometres) from Earth in early January 2014. This is just close enough to provide a good show. So, put away those anti-cyanide “comet pills” that your grandparents stashed away for the Great Comet of 1910 and enjoy the show.

Bruce Willis can stay home for this one!

2013 is already shaping up to be a great year for comets, with Comet Pan-STARRS (C/2011 L4) set to put on a fine performance in March of 2013 for southern hemisphere viewers. It’ll be fascinating to watch the passage of both comets as observations refine their orbits and a battery of cameras and telescopes await them, both in space & Earth-bound.

Operation Zero Tolerance: Sea Shepherd’s Paul Watson Gears Up for Biggest Fight Yet Against Japanese Whaling
– Common Dreams staff

Captain Paul Watson is gearing up for Sea Shepherd’s biggest fight yet against Japanese whaling in the Antarctic, despite a second “red notice” being issued by Interpol for the oceans defender.

Paul Watson: “We humans are killing our oceans, we are diminishing bio-diversity, we are over heating the planet, we are pouring poisons into the sea and air. I cannot accept that meekly and I know with absolute certainty that if we kill the oceans, we kill ourselves.” (photo: Gert Steenssens via Flickr) Sea Shepherd Conservation Society’s Operation Zero Tolerance campaign this year will be the ninth year the marine conservation group has fought to stop Japan’s killing of whales in the Southern Ocean, with this year set to be the biggest campaign yet, the group says.

Sea Shepherd founder Watson has written that what Japan says are “research” whaling operations are “nothing more than a mask for commercial operations,” violating a moratorium on whaling set by the International Whaling Commission.

“The Japanese whalers are sorely mistaken if they think another ‘red notice’ is going to stand in the way of Sea Shepherd’s defense of the whales this season,” said Susan Hartland, Administrative Director of Sea Shepherd. “It will in no way impact Sea Shepherd’s next Antarctic campaign, Operation Zero Tolerance, whose goal it is to send the whaling fleet home with zero kills.”

Telling Australia’s Fairfax Media of his determination of the mission, Watson, who remains in a secret location, said, “We aim to stop them completely this time. They will be so financially in the hole that they can’t climb out.”

“I believe that saving the lives of a thousand whales must take priority over playing courtroom games with Japan and Costa Rica,” he added. “You don’t win a battle by playing by the rules of the opposition.”

In an interview with a Sea Shepherd crewmember posted on the group’s website, Watson remarks that he is “not a fugitive from justice” and says that all the attention from charges he faces from Japan and Costa Rica have brought more support to the campaign.

Asked if he fears consequences of being captured, he says:

All of my life I have been afraid of only one thing and that is of doing nothing. I have never been able to fathom the idea of accepting the way things are. We humans are killing our oceans, we are diminishing bio-diversity, we are over heating the planet, we are pouring poisons into the sea and air. I cannot accept that meekly and I know with absolute certainty that if we kill the oceans, we kill ourselves. If the oceans die, we die and the oceans are dying in our time. My greatest fear is that people simply accept that fact.

In a TED talk delivered in 2010, Watson described Sea Shepherd’s fight to save marine life and said the whales “are our clients. They are who we represent.”

Are You Round-up Ready?

The first long term study on Glyphosate and GMO corn has been published Sept 19 and the results are sickening and shocking. Virtually all of the poor lab rats subjected to this experiment were found to be diseased in some way over their lifespan, with, for instance, 70% of females developing breast cancer! This stuff is so widespread in use that in most countries it is spread totally throughout the foodchain,  The WHO has no guidelines for its use, yet miniscule amounts as little as 50 nanograms per liter of water are shown to cause diseases in this study. In the area where we live, planes are spraying the herbicide regularly and most of the crops are GMO.

So far Monsanto has not responded to the findings, however, Facebook users are being blocked from making references to this study!
But scientist Joel Spiroux has called for new rules on GM foods:

“Current regulation tests are conducted over three months, but the really serious diseases, such as the death of rats due to tumors, occur only in the fourth month,” said Spiroux.

“Therefore these tests give no real information about the effects of genetically modified food on health over a lifetime.”

Thought Controlled Drones

Isaac Asimov wrote of a time in the future when musicians would perform by thought controlled devices, weaving aural tapestries with their minds. We may be getting closer…

FlyingBuddy2: Pilot This Mind-Controlled ‘Copter With Nothing But Your Thoughts

The Huffington Post  |  By Posted: 09/01/2012 1:11 pm

Meet the new breed of toy copter — no remote control required. At least these are controlled by humans – more recent drones are totally autonomous. Less possibility of human error!

The New Scientist points to a video posted by researchers at Zheijiang University in Hangzhou, China, which shows a quadcopter being flown using nothing but thoughts and wishes. That’s right: On this flight, your brain is your co-pilot. If you want the copter to turn right, you simply think, “Turn right.” If you want it to turn left, you think “turn left,” and so on.

Here’s video of the thought-controlled helicopter in action, along with a brief explanation of how it (incredibly) works:

The system was actually hacked together using parts that anyone can purchase: An EEG headset from Emotiv (a company that specializes in neuro-transmitting headsets), a Parrot AR Drone helicopter, a laptop and some nifty software cooked up by the Zheijiang researchers. If you live in Pittsburgh, good news: The researchers will be bringing their gear over to the Ubicomp Conference, which will be held in the Steel City from September 5-8.

Thought-controlled tech, while not yet ubiquitous, has certainly crept its way into the spotlight over the past couple years, thanks to some eye-popping, mind-bending proofs of concept. Most notably, mind-controlled board games, for example, are currently available for you to buy; some speculate that video game consoles that you control with your thoughts will be the future of gaming. In April 2011, meanwhile, a team of scientists allowed the cursor on a computer screen to be moved using only one’s thoughts.

(Actually, we may be in the middle of a revolution, in general, in the way we input and control our devices, transitioning from the mouse cursor to touchscreens, especially with the upcoming release of the touch-centric Windows 8 in October; and, too, don’t forget that there are companies hard at work on software and hardware that will allow you to control your machines with both your eyes and with gestures).

This is the first time, however, we’ve seen a quad-copter controlled using one’s thoughts, an invention that has as much potential as a diversion as it does a healing or mechanism. You’ll note that a couple of the example users in the video are in wheelchairs, and the New Scientist quotes the researchers’ paper as concluding that “[m]aybe one day in the future, disabled people can use brain [control] to drive a plane in which they are seated, and go anywhere they want to go.”

That future may be far off, but with baby steps like these being made in the present, it’s not hard to imagine how this kind of hands-free flight control might work some time soon.
